Mentegram family is bigger again. We are excited that we have found a new colleague who shares our passion and vision. Meet Karissa, our new growth manager! She is helping us grow and support our customers. We love the positive energy that is all around her and how contagious it is. Just see for your self.
What is the one thing about yourself that you think your co-workers would be surprised to know?
My name, Karissa, is Greek and means “very dear.” Most of my immediate and extended family has “K” names too.
What is your favorite comfort food? How about the recipe?
My mother’s famous “Sweet Potato Corn Chowder.” Although I would love to share the recipe with you, it’s a family secret. I will give you one hint though– Bacon.
What was the most unusual job that you’ve ever had?
In the Summer, after I graduated university, I worked on a farm/children’s day camp outside of Montreal. One of my close friends was already working there, and she got in touch with me. I decided hey, why not? I’d have to say waking up at the crack of dawn to go herd animals was quite an interesting task. Especially when all the animals respond to the French language rather than English, as you can imagine it made for some pretty entertaining moments for me considering I know very little French. Not only did I learn a ton about all different kinds of farm animals, I now know how to tell Geese how to wake up and go to sleep in French.
What was your favorite game when you were a child?
I loved to play solitaire as a child. My Grammy (short for Grandmother) loves to play cards, so it wasn’t before long before she had me learning & playing card games as a child.
What is your dream destination for the Honeymoon and why?
……So i’m going to begin this answer by sharing with you a great Bill Murray quote that my boyfriend & I appreciate. We’ve been traveling together since we first started dating so it relates well to our relationship:
“If you have someone you think is the one, don’t do… don’t just sort of think in your ordinary mind, ‘Ok, let’s make a date… and have a party… and get married.’ Take that person and travel around the world. Buy a plane ticket for the two of you to travel ALL around the world and go to places that are hard to get to and hard to get out of. And when you come back… and if you’re still in love with that person… get married at the airport.”
Based off Murray, my boyfriend and I probably won’t be picking our Honeymoon spot till we’re in the airport 😉
